From the producer:

In 2017, in Death Valley in California, JR installed a monumental billboard photograph reproducing the surrounding mountainous landscape in black and white.

This giant trompe l'oeil (optical illusion) was a collaboration with the band Arcade Fire for the cover of their album "Everything Now".
