About this edition:
Parasiti Curiae (Venado) presents an incoherent possibility: a fortuitous encounter wherein two seemingly disparate elements are linked by their respective connection to culture and commerce. Drawing specifically from belief systems found in Mexico’s native tribes such as the Huicholes or Yaquis, the deer represents proximity to the natural and spiritual world. Rico incorporates the baseball for its geometry, as well hinting towards the 21st century impulse towards material progress. Parasiti Curiae (Venado) creates this moment of intersection, forging a state of reflection on the relationship between the transcendental and the desire for technological innovation.
