鉄絵 Iron brushwork: A technique for drawing patterns onto the clay with a black or brown pigment containing iron. The clay body is then covered by a transparent glaze. It is one of the main decoration methods for Shino ware, Oribe ware, Karatsu ware in Japan.
鱗紋 Scale pattern: Scales are triangular geometric patterns, symbolising prosperity of descendants and success in life.
土瓶 Teapot: known as Dobin in Japanese, a tea or water heater made by clay.
