Produced on the occasion of the artist's exhibition "When I Think of You in Spring" at Perrotin Paris, April 2026.

Susumu Kamijo utilizes vinyl paint, a medium that dries almost instantly, rendering each of his works a “quick resolution,” in the artist’s own words. This technique, which captures the authenticity of the gesture, is rooted in his childhood training in Japanese calligraphy. His personal interest in creative writing imbues his paintings with a narrative quality, evoking the minimalism of a poem and the immediacy of a short story.

By merging drawing and painting techniques, the artist creates an array of symbols and signs, often composed of brushstrokes that are both ethereal and powerful.Marked by a style that is both meditative and playful, his work constantly evolves, challenging and transforming our ways of seeing. In this limited edition, the monumental flower becomes a nebula in full expansion, generating its own space.

This print captures a precise moment of meditation—a retreat from the informational noise of our era—achieving a subtle balance between the rigors of abstraction and the poetry of the landscape.
