From the producer:
In December 2020, JR was invited to paste on the iconic Tobogã tribune of the Pacaembú Stadium. He used 1,480 strips of paper to reveal the penetrating gaze of a young Brazilian from an underprivileged community.
Built in the Art Deco style in the 1930s and inaugurated in the 1940s, the Pacaembú Sports Complex hosted several nations at the 1950 World Cup. Today it is one of the most beloved architectural icons within the city of São Paulo.
